Coles Myer
100,000 End Points and over 3000 Sites

Responsible for the compellation of a strategy and RFP for the delivery of an Enterprise IP Voice Architecture to support up to 100,000 end points and in excess of 3000 sites across Australia and internationally. Key to the project is overall resilience of the network and the utilisation of primary and secondary data centers. The framework combines a blend of centralised and decentralised voice servers, centralised voicemail / UMS, a Central IP Network Management and Provisioning Platform and an IP Billing Foundation. The importance of SIP, overall flexibility and future transition strategies were critical to the overall framework. Time lines for the project were extremely aggressive and work conducted by c2d Pty Limited were reviewed and endorsed by Gartner.

Parliament of Victoria
142 Sites Victoria Wide

TCS Review of 142 sites across Victoria and modeling of optimum bandwidth models for current and future needs, gap analysis of TCS versus alternate strategies and final recommendations. Review, including one on one and group discussions, to balance perceived needs with the potential needs of a redesigned shared service model leveraging TCS (and alternate options). Findings from this engagement have been incorporated into the overall Parliament strategic plan to enable future funding.

DSE/DPI— 120+ sites, 9000 Users

Strategic and technical advise on disparate LAN, WAN, MAN, Voice, Video and converged networking solution opportunities for approximately 109 sites. The review also included all current whole of Government voice, data and carrier initiatives. Identified savings of up to 33% in current WAN recurrent costs whilst demonstrating increased bandwidth models capable of delivering current and future shared services requirements. In addition, savings in voice carriage have been identified up to 30% in management costs and up to 50% in managed voice services. The engagement was extended to deliver a full IP Blueprint and 3-5 Years ICT Strategy.

Honda Motorcycles
IP Voice, Call Centre, LAN/WAN, Wireless Mobility

Engaged to provide expert advice for the review of a suitable converged voice and data solution for Honda MPE across 4 sites. The scope included RFP evaluations and overall leadership with Honda to ensure the right converged architecture was adopted. One of the key deliverables was to consider the business re-engineering of Honda MPE, the implementation of a customer service centre solution, Unified communications and presence capabilities.

AMES
30 Site Converged Network for AMES

Gap analysis, strategic and technical advice on a converged voice and data network, unified messaging and billing solution for 30 sites. Engagement extended to include strategic advice on customer service centre. (Call Centre) Based on customer vendor selection, c2d Pty Limitedwas responsible for working with the vendor to design the final technical solution to meet business need, ensuring the optimum financial outcome for the client and ensure a win-win strategy. Initial project estimates tabled by the original consultant and vendor were reduced by up to 50% by c2d whilst providing an increase in the scope of deliverables. (i.e.: inclusion of a further 150 handsets, remote network software and configuration, call centre and unified messaging).

Major Government Relocation Project

This project was the winner of a National Government Award for the use of ICT. Involved in the first major Victorian Government relocation project (CBD and Regional) and the design and delivery of a converged IP Voice. LAN, WAN and Call Centre requirements.

Broadband IP Video

Involvement in one of the worlds largest IP Video Conferencing Networks covering 120 sites across the state of Victoria. The network is based on an intelligent broadband network and content switches. Press release documents confirmed hard cost savings of 8 million dollars per annum.

Victorian TAFE
Network Strategy and Review

Strategic and Technical advise to the formulation of a TAFE intelligent Voice, Video and Data Network utilizing an IP Foundation. Covering 7 sites the network supports inline power, intelligent content engines and is ready for the deployment of Voice and Video over time without degrading the network. Additional phases included a comparative analysis undertaken between Ericsson MD110 Network and Cisco Systems Call Manager.

Involvement over a 4.5 year period with Ministerial, Secretary, Executive staff, CIO's and Key Stakeholders providing technical and business advise on some of the most progressive and dynamic initiatives in the Victorian Government. Involved in assisting a major carrier to formulate key deliverables and the upgrade of the Department of Education schools network to ADSL - approximately 1250 sites.

1. Involved in the first intelligent network foundation for the Victorian Government. The 50,000 port network is capable of supporting industry based inline power, sophisticated QoS and security capabilities, IP Voice, Video and Data.

2. Involved in one of the largest Government Agency fibre IP networks to provide the core foundation for the delivery of voice, video, data, storage and wireless/radio requirements for emergency services.

D. McLeod was involved in one of the largest global Unified Messaging solutions with Lotus Notes Integration and the largest intelligent Voice Network in Australia with Alcatel Australia. The second phase of the original design has now occurred resulting in one of the largest Alcatel IP transition deployments of up to 6000 IP Handsets across 8 sites.

1. Involved in one of the first "connecting community" projects and the provision of intelligent switching, CWDM and fibre connectivity. Additional applications include IP Training capabilities with IPTV.

Engaged as a subject expert and negotiator for the implementation of a core and edge data network capable of delivering the ICT needs for the next 3+ years. Essential elements of the analysis included the suitability of IPTV Broadcast Technologies, delivery of a QoS converged network, Network resilience, 10 Gbps connectivity and 802.3af power.Responsible for the final vendor recommendation and assistance with pricing and business deliverables. Mutli Site IP Voice and Data Network

Engaged as a subject matter expert for TDM, IP Telephony and Convergence and to provide assistance to ensuring a win / win outcome of a multi site voice and data network. The scope was to provide expert assistance on the short-listed solutions and to provide guidance to the City of Melbourne on cost reduction methods, technical and commercial gaps and to deliver a sustainable outcome for the City of Melbourne. The review included technology elements around voice, TDM Hybrid, a major focus on IP Telephony, multi site network and remote survivability, Call Centre Technology, Unified Messaging and support.

2500 IP End Points and Unified Messaging

Engaged to review the existing telecommunication operations of the Department of Justice and to make recommendation on areas of improvement for the consolidation of major DoJ sites into the new Southern Cross building. Covering in excess of 2000 users, the primary review was focused on the business benefits attainable from adopting IP Telephony, convergence, Unified Communications, Presence and mobility. The recommendations included a full cost benefit analysis, tactical and strategic recommendations and risk profiles.
